Pack 231 Summer Picnic

Signup here so we know how much food to order. Also, please signup if you would like to bring your favorite appetizer, fruit, dessert, or drinks to share with the Pack! Please bring a refillable water bottle. If you are dropping off food, feel free to drive down to the Pavilion to drop it off.  

Join Pack 231 for an evening of food, fun, and kickball.  This end of year celebration is also a great opportunity to bring siblings, friends and anyone who might be interested in joining the pack. 

If you have a scout uniform or other scouting gear that you would like to donate to the pack to be shared with other families, please wash and bring them in a plastic bag labeled with the size. If you have patches you want to keep, please remove prior to the picnic.

ADVANCEMENT NIGHT is 5/28 [Location Change]

Due to the weather forecast we are moving our meeting to Pocopson Elementary School. 

Advancement Night draws near at Pocopson Elementary School Cafeteria on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:45pm.  Come join us as your Cub Scout celebrates advancing rank after all the hard work this year. 

By the light of an imaginary fire, with some traditional stories, your Cub Scout will receive his or her new rank badge (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear or Webelos).  Your Cub will also begin a new journey for their next rank. 

Join Pack 231 and march in the Kennett Memorial Day Parade.  Wear your class A uniform, bring a water bottle, and meet at the Kennett Municipal Building Parking Lot (area B on map) between 9:30 and 9:50 AM on May 26th!  The Parade starts at 10AM. 

If you would like to hand out candy, please bring a large bag of candy as we usually run out. Please don't bring chocolate as it will melt.

Chester County Council is hosting a Cub Camping Event on May 3-4.  You can come for the day or bring your tent and stay overnight.   All 3 Ranges are planned to be open for range and target sports (BBs, Archery, Slingshot).  There will be scout skills such as cooking, fire building, first aid, and knots.   They are also offering fishing so that you can complete that adventure.  Use their equipment or bring your own.  They have staff committed so that they can try to open the bouldering wall.  

They will feed us lunch and dinner on Saturday and a light breakfast on Sunday. If you camp with us Friday night (May 2) we will prepare breakfast as a Pack on Saturday..  

We will register as a Pack so please signup by 4/23 using our Signup Genius. $30/scout $25/adult

 

Join us for overnight camping at Camp Ware in 2025!    

Multiple program options available: 3-day (Fri 7/25 arrival), 4-day (Thu 7/24 arrival), and 5-day (Wed  7/23 arrival). All sessions conclude on Sunday 7/27 ~2PM. 

Earlybird registration deadline is April 15th but the earlier we Signup the better our chances are of getting our requested Campsites.
