Welcome!

Pack 231 is a thriving Cub Scout unit including families with elementary students in Chadds Ford, Hillendale, Pocopson and neighboring private schools. The Pack is chartered by the Pocopson PTO and run by parent volunteers. Cub Scouts is a family-focused program designed for boys and girls in K-5th.

We hold meetings and plan activities throughout the school year. We emphasize fun while promoting the purposes and values of Cub Scouting. Click here for more information about joining Pack 231.

Join Pack 231 for an evening of food, fun, and launching rockets.  This end of year celebration is also a great opportunity to bring siblings, friends and anyone who might be interested in joining the pack.  See you all there!

2024 Advancement Night - TUESDAY May 21

ADVANCEMENT NIGHT - TONIGHT 

Advancement Night draws near at Oakbourne Park on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30pm.  Come join us as your Cub Scout celebrates advancing rank after all the hard work this year. 

March in the Memorial Day Parade!

Join Pack 231 and march in the Kennett Memorial Day Parade.  Wear your class A uniform and meet at the Kennett Municipal Building Parking Lot between 9:00 and 9:30 am on May 27th!

Spring Cub Camporee at Camp Ware

Spring Camporee at Camp Ware May 4-5 

Registration Closes on 4/30. 

For those attending: please be sure to complete your Youth Protection Training (YPT) if not completed in the last year. Please also bring complete medical forms A & B and bring with a copy of your Health Insurance Card.  

For our Spring Campout we are going to participate in the C5 Cub Camporee at Camp Ware. The theme is Ware Goes Medieval. If you can't sleep over you can choose to attend just for the daytime activities. 

Program Activities will range from several medieval themed games, jousting, branding, Dutch Oven cooking, and archery, just to name a few. While participating in the games, collect gold coins to increase your realms wealth courtesy of the Duke and Dutchess. All of these activities will lead up to a camp-wide Royal Banquet with all the fixins’. Then as the sun sets over Horseshoe Scout Reservation for a Campfire.

Last Call: Scout Nights at Philadelphia Wings, Union, and Phillies

Last call, Signup extended to March 1st

Scouts Sporting Hometown Team Spirit!  

There are few upcoming Philadelphia sporting events that will be hosting ‘Scout’ games:

  • Philadelphia Wings – March 23 @ 7:00pm – $25-30 per ticket (against Vancouver ) – lower end section. Come early to enjoy fun events and receive a patch!
  • Philadelphia Union – March 30 @ 2:00pm - $37 per ticket (against Minnesota) – End line/ corner seats. All scouts receive a patch; and this includes a free ticket to the Union 2 game on Apr 24, May 5 or June 2.
  • Philadelphia Phillies – April 19 @ 6:40 pm - $24-28 per ticket (against White Sox) – Section 329-331. All scouts receive a patch!

If interested in attending, please confirm your interest via the sign-up genius (here). All responses are needed by March 1st and will be used to complete a group booking (we will need 10+ tickets to qualify for a group booking). You will be contacted for payment and for release of your tickets after we place the order.
